Church life / October 2026

Faith beyond the walls. Family beyond Sunday.

October at MHC: sharing the gospel during Internal Missions Week and building friendships through Youth and PENSA bowling and arcade fellowship.

A church family grows through both purpose and presence. This October, Mile High City Church made room for both: going out to share the gospel during Internal Missions Week and spending time together through a Youth and PENSA bowling outing. One took us beyond the church walls to reach others. The other gave our young people time to deepen the friendships that help us walk together in faith.

Internal Missions Week

Taking the good news beyond our walls

This week, MHC went out to evangelize as part of Internal Missions Week. The call on our flyer, making disciples of all nations, became something we put into practice together. Sharing our faith means being willing to step outside familiar surroundings and point people toward Jesus.

We are grateful to everyone who took part. The week is a reminder that the mission continues after a program ends. A conversation with a neighbor, a thoughtful invitation, or a willingness to speak about Christ can become part of our everyday witness. As a church, we want to keep making room for people to hear the gospel and find a community in which to grow.

Youth and PENSA

More than a score on the screen

Our Youth and PENSA Ministry also spent time together at a bowling and arcade outing. The photos and videos tell the story in ordinary, joyful moments: a turn at the bowling lane, friends lining up for an arcade game, a race on the motorcycle machines, and a round of air hockey. There was room to play, laugh, and enjoy one another's company away from the usual weekly schedule.

These moments matter because belonging is built through time spent together. We get to know one another beyond a greeting after service. A shared game gives friends something to talk about the next time they meet; an evening together makes it easier to keep showing up for one another. Fellowship gives our ministry a human rhythm alongside worship, Bible study, and service.

We want our young people to know that church family is present in every season. We gather to seek God, and we also make time to enjoy the life He has given us. In season and out of season, our hope is to remain ready to share our faith, encourage one another, and build friendships that continue beyond a single event.

October's theme

Preparing for the Return of the King

Our October theme draws us to Revelation 22:7 and Matthew 24:27. The promise of Christ's return calls us to live with hope and readiness. That readiness has an everyday shape: listening to His Word, remaining faithful, sharing the gospel, and loving the people He places around us.

Internal Missions Week and our fellowship outing reflect two parts of that shared life. We go out with the good news, and we grow together as a family. As October continues, let us keep inviting, encouraging, serving, and preparing our hearts for our King.

Behold, I come quickly: blessed is he that keepeth the sayings of the prophecy of this book.

Revelation 22:7 (KJV)

For as the lightning cometh out of the east, and shineth even unto the west; so shall also the coming of the Son of man be.

Matthew 24:27 (KJV)
