Serving meals and showing Christ's love at Denver Rescue Mission
MHC's Home and Urban Missions team continues to serve at Denver Rescue Mission as a practical expression of the gospel. Volunteers prepare food, serve refreshments, welcome guests, and help create an atmosphere of dignity, kindness, and care for people navigating hard seasons.
This work is simple, steady, and deeply meaningful: showing up, serving with joy, praying for open doors, and reminding people that the church sees them. The team has been building a rhythm of presence in the community, using meals and warm conversations as a doorway for encouragement, fellowship, and the love of Christ.
The Rescue Mission team serves every first and last Saturday of the month. If you want to serve with HUM, come ready to help, listen, encourage, and be part of a team that takes ministry beyond the church building.
